Robert Plant will be playing St David's Hall with his group Band of Joy 26th October. Plant has close associations with Wales and has played here on several occasions as a solo artist including dates at the old Top Rank in Cardiff and the Coal Exchange with his band Priory of Bryon. Spillers Records have found new premises after months of speculation and worry that they might be closed for good. The world's oldest record shop has found new premises in Morgan Arcade and will be open for business in the near future. The current premises, where they have been situated for 60 years, will close it's doors for the last time this Saturday 26th June.

Steve Earle will be playing a rare Welsh date 7th September at St David's Hall in Cardiff. Earle has had a long career and is perhaps best known for his radio friendly song "Copperhead Road". Most recently he won a Grammy in 2009 for his album 'Townes' which played tribute to his late friend Townes van Zandt.
