The Welsh guitar wizard Gareth Pearson is releasing his first album 'Urban Echoes vol 1' on Candyrat Records June 22nd. Gareth is the first non-american to be signed to the label.

Manics Album & Tour Announced


The Manic Street Preachers have announced the release of their 10th album 'Postcards From a Young Man' and a 22 date tour including a Welsh date at the Newport Centre on Saturday 23rd October. The album is released in September and tickets go on sale 4th June.

Guitar Legend @ the Globe


Guitar legend Robin Trower, who came to prominance with Procol Harum in the 1960s and then by fronting his own power trio in the 1970s, will be making a return to Cardiff when he plays the Globe 8th September. This is likely to sell out so you are advised to get your tickets early.

Funeral For a Friend bid farewell to guitarist


Funeral For A Friend are playing 2 special gigs to mark the departure of guitarist Darran Smith. The band will play at Cardiff University July 22 and Shepherd’s Bush Empire July 23. The band will be playing their debut album 'Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation' in it's entirity.

Spillers at Risk


Spillers Record shop again looks to be at risk following reports that the owners of the building have increased the rent substantially. The owners of the shop have indicated that this rise is simply too high for the shop to cope with. Spillers Records is reputed to be the oldest record shop in the world and has become a national icon of independent record shops. At his stage the future of the shop seems bleak.
